I just love to make things!
I started making jewellery over twenty years ago...well earlier if you count my tinkering as a kid. But I guess it was at university, studying sculpture, that I really fell in love with exploring a materials potential to become something else, something that can be enjoyed in a different way and by many people.
I love the challenge of finding new ways to represent the materials I work with so the jump from sculpture to jewellery was an easy one.
The idea of creating wearable art is a big part of what drives me.
For inspiration I always look to the world around me, both the natural and man made. Plants, architecture, machinery, patterns, ancient symbols and tribal designs...inspiration is everywhere!
